Aside from standard Level and Size (amount) controls, the Météore contains an overdrive circuit that acts as distortion on a reverb tank, plate, or whatever else’s transducers, driving them far beyond normal and into some shoegazey territory. This control is named “Attack,” and boy, does it.
If that’s not enough, the Regen control acts as a feedback knob, routing the end of the signal back into the beginning, creating bizarre overtones and a denser wash. As one might realize, using the Regen and Attack controls in conjunction yields some stunning never-before-heard reverberations.
A second momentary footswitch labeled Havoc brings players exactly that: it latches onto whichever note is playing at the time and throws that note into a black hole of otherworldly reverberation, and descends when the switch is let go. This feature gives players some seriously creative tools with which to carve soundscapes out of solid walls of tone.
Above all else, the Météore keeps the signal path completely analog and clean, so even small amounts of reverb will shine through in pristine fashion.
