The RS-II is reminiscent of the late 1950's Roy Smeck model. The unique hollow-body chamber bracing with an arched rear panel combine with the Airline ARGYLE Single coil pickups to produce a unique tone that was often found in the blues records from that era. The RS-II produces a gutsy, raw sound, creating a clean natural distortion without feedback.
