Subdecay Harmonic Antagonizer Fuzz/Oscillator.
Subdecay is known for pushing the limits of traditional effects such as reverb and phaser. But, what if Subdecay was to push the envelope of an effect that the company itself created? That would sound like the Harmonic Antagonizer.
The crux of the unit is the Blend control, which blends a square wave fuzz with an oscillator. There is no wet/dry action here, just wet and wetter. Set at noon, the Blend control seamlessly marries fuzz and frequency. Fully turned to the left or right results in all square wave or all oscillator, respectively.
Freq changes the frequency of the overall sound and Sustain... well, adds sustain. You won't find any hidden meanings here—you want sustain, you've got it. With the Blend knob fully yoked counter-clockwise, the Harmonic Antagonizer will sustain for almost as long as you could ever let it.
The Sens knob imparts a sort-of envelope filter to the effect. This allows players to cop some serious filtered synth tones with the Blend knob turned down and some all-out chaos with the Blend turned up. One thing you'll appreciate about the Harmonic Antagonizer is that the controls are highly interactive, and stacking it with other pedals yields absolute bedlam, in the best way possible.
