Subdecay Proteus mkII Sample Hold Filter
No matter what flavor of funk you’re into, the Proteus will cook up a platter of the good stuff to satisfy all your funky cravings. Featuring a compact, easy-to-use design, the Proteus MKII sounds great right out of the box and does the job right without any fuss.
Three standard controls adorn the top of the pedal, with Depth, Frequency and Resonance. Dialing these into any position will yield a fat and juicy envelope filter, with two options—low and band-pass—selectable via toggle switch.
Stomping on the Tap switch more than once delivers a sample-and-hold blast that will shake your funky roots to their collective core. The S-H mode is an LFO-driven modulator, and the 1-2-4 toggle comes into play here, allowing you to adjust the tap subdivisions ‘til your heart’s content.
The Proteus possesses an all-analog signal path, complete with OTA chips just like the old-school Maestro FSH-1 unit, ensuring that your signal doesn’t touch a one or a zero anywhere. It’s just old-school funk with new-school functionality. Get some.
